The Global Environment Facility's Small for Grants Program aims to deliver global to and environmental benefits in the GEF

    Ethiopia joined the GEF-SGP in 2005. The program provides financial assistance up to US$50,000 (grants) and technical assistance to NGO's and CBO's for activities that support community-level actions that address environmental concerns within the focal areas of GEF.

    A National Steering Committee (NSC) composed of voluntary representatives from NGO's/CBO's, government agencies, academic , private sectors and the UNDP office approves projects and guides the implementation of the Program, which is managed by the National Coordinator. read more
